An organization called the Free Network Foundation has equipped Occupy Wall Street and two other Occupy protests with secure communications towers. Now the organization is leading a fundraising drive so others can enjoy secure networks.

It is fascinating to watch the numerous independent interest groups and parties that have come together to offer support to these protests.  Say what you will about OWS, but there is definitely something about this movement that is motivating people on the sidelines.
